Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is the most advanced method in Dental Radiology, providing high-definition 3D imaging of the hard tissues of the facial skeleton.
Advantages of CBCT:
- Minimal Radiation Exposure: Less than 1/20th of the radiation dose compared to a conventional CT/Dental Scan.
- Rapid Examination: 1–2 minutes on average.
- Optimal Image Quality.
What to expect during the exam: CBCT requires no special preparation. The procedure is performed in a standing position, and the scan lasts approximately 1–2 minutes.
Core Applications of CBCT:
- Pre-operative assessment for dental implant placement.
- Evaluation of osseointegration for grafts and implants.
- Impacted teeth surgery.
- Periodontology and Endodontics.
- Diagnosis of jaw and tooth diseases.
- Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) evaluation.
- Post-operative implant assessment and treatment monitoring.
Our clinic, equipped with the latest technology and specialized staff, provides:
- Specialist Diagnosis: A formal report by a specialized radiologist with every CBCT scan.
- Flexible Fields of View (FOV): Options ranging from 5×5 cm to 24×19 cm, tailored to the specific area of interest.
- Digital Delivery: Files sent via email in PDF format (with indicative measurements), as a Viewer, or as DICOM files.
- Radiation Protection: Adherence to strict international safety protocols.
