Cephalometric Radiography
A Cephalometric radiograph provides a lateral 2D image of the patient’s head. It is primarily recommended in orthodontics for the precise measurement of distances and angles between jaw bones and facial soft tissues. The procedure is performed standing and lasts about 13 seconds with negligible radiation.
Periapical Radiographs – Full Mouth Series
A Periapical radiograph is an intraoral exam that captures one or two adjacent teeth on a phosphor plate. Due to its high diagnostic value, it is an essential tool for evaluating the teeth and periapical tissues. A Full Mouth Series consists of a complete set of periapical radiographs for a total radiographic overview.
- Duration: Single periapical (1–2 seconds, seated), Full Mouth (14–15 images, approx. 20–25 minutes).
